Earth Day Action: Break the Radio Silence on Climate Change, April 22

JOIN US ON EARTH DAY (APRIL 22) TO BREAK THE RADIO SILENCE ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Emissions are increasing on PM Malcolm Turnbull's watch. Australia will fail to deliver the cuts it pledged under the Paris Agreement.

The Federal Coalition's failure on climate change exposes Victorian communities to intensifying climate change impacts such as bushfires, heatwaves, extreme weather, and sea level rise.

Friends of the Earth have organised an community picnic at the O'Donnell Gardens (next door to Luna Park) and snappy banner photo beneath the iconic Mr Moon with our friends the Port Philip Ecocentre, Bayside Climate Change Action Group, and L.I.V.E.

With an state election on the horizon, now more than ever, we need to break the radio silence on climate change. But we need your help to send a strong signal to all political parties that the community supports climate action.

Victoria desperately needs more renewable energy, a transition away from coal power, science-based emissions reduction targets, and a Climate Budget to invest in solutions.

Join us on Earth Day, Sunday 22 April, to send a message to Victorian politicians that the community supports ambitious action on climate change.

This is a FREE event and the more the merrier. Bring a few mates along and let your family and friends know you're attending on Facebook

MORE INFO: Here's everything you need to know about the Emissions Reduction Targets process.

TAKE ACTION: Send a submission to call for ambitious, science-based targets for Victoria.
