What next for climate change action in Victoria? Come along to find out how to push the envelope on climate.

There’s been progress on climate change in Victoria. The state government strengthened the Climate Change Act, legislated a permanent ban on onshore gasfields, and set Victorian Renewable Energy Targets.

But with climate impacts intensifying —such as Melbourne’s record-breaking November heatwave—there’s a need for more leadership.

This forum will present ideas for what comes next, from big picture thinking to a community perspective.

Friends of the Earth’s Chloe Aldenhoven will make the case for a climate budget, thinker Philip Sutton will outline the No More Bad Investments legislation, and a guest community member will speak about action in rural Victoria.
