Act on Climate: Ballarat Info Night, March 21

2.png
Do you want to be part of a community campaign for strong action on climate change?

Join Friends of the Earth's Act on Climate coordinator Leigh Ewbank for an info night and find out how you can get involved!

With a state election on the horizon, 2018 is shaping up to be a big year. And your help is needed to put climate change on the election agenda.

Malcolm Turnbull's do-nothing approach to climate change exposes Victorian communities to intensifying climate change impacts. Now more than ever, we need Victoria to step up and show leadership.

Over the last five years, Friends of the Earth has coordinated successful campaigns for a permanent ban on fracking and onshore gasfields, and secured ambitious Victorian Renewable Energy Targets.

Yet more action is needed to rein in emissions and protect the community from climate impacts that are now unavoidable.

If we are to win again, we need passionate citizens like you to get involved.

Join us at the Ballarat Trades Hall on Wednesday 21 March to meet some of our team, hear about our story so far, and find out what lies ahead.

All are welcome to attend this free event. No experience necessary, just passion and interest. Don't forget to bring a few mates along too (let them know your coming on Facebook)!

In terms of food and beverages, we'll have a BBQ on the go and the Trades Hall bar will be open.
